The Oakland Private Industry Council (OPIC), Eastmont Career Center is an Alameda County Social Services employment and training agency, dedicated to providing a full scope of employment and training services to help meet the needs of both employers and job seekers alike.

OPIC has an established job recruitment and job referral program that is offered to employers at NO COST. We have a team of professional Job Developers that will help you to fill positions or assist you in expanding your workforce. We are committed to assisting the employer with every aspect of the recruitment process and to ensure that highly qualified candidates are referred. Therefore, if you are planning to fill positions or looking to expand your workforce, you may want to consider us.

SERVICES PROVIDED TO THE EMPLOYER:

• Free advertising of job openings that you would like to fill.
• Pre-screened job applicants to meet your hiring needs.
• Mass On Site Recruitment Events.
• Follow-up support services every 30-60-90 days to ensure employer satisfaction and job retention.
• Expert handling and processing of job orders to expedite the hiring process.

BENEFITS TO THE EMPLOYER:

As a result of last year’s overwhelming success of the ACHire Subsidized Employment Program, the Alameda County Social Services Agency and its partners are able to, once again, offer you an opportunity to either fill an existing opening or expand your current workforce.
Effective Monday, August 15, 2011, if you hire a qualified, eligible CalWorks job seeker, we will reimburse 50% of the employee’s wage for up to six months.

TAX CREDITS: Work Opportunity Tax Credit/Welfare-To-Work Tax Credit
FIDELITY BONDING: EDD insures an employer for losses up to $100,000, which arise from employee dishonesty, for a period of 180 days following the commencement of employment.
