These presentations provide information on services and resources for formerly incarcerated people (See current schedule). The Oakland PIC has played a leadership role for nearly a decade serving the formerly incarcerated in programs designed to reduce recidivism and improve public safety for all residents of Oakland and Alameda County. PIC has well-established working relationships with organizations active in the field, maintaining close ties with law enforcement, private employers and public and non-profit agencies. Partners in these projects include Police and Corrections Teams, the Bay Area Services Network Project, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Alameda County’s Family Support Division, Urban Strategies Council and the Employment Development Department, as well as faith-based organizations, including Reverend Raymond Lankford’s Healthy Oakland program, Allen Temple Baptist Church and Acts Full Gospel Church. CRSPN is a countywide network of agencies and individuals that works with formerly incarcerated people and shares the vision of improving public safety, using public funds more efficiently, and providing participants with the necessary support network and services for successful re-integration into family and community life. We would like to invite formerly incarcerated job seekers, as well as potential presenters, to attend the Reentry One Stop Presentations. Find the most current workshop and event schedule here. |
